Location of DLC/OBD port

Unread post by Woodford »

Greetings all ,👋👋 after 40 years as a mechanic I have come up against something that has completely stumped me. I cannot locate the obd port on a 2017 Citroen Berlingo 1.4 manual diesel. Steering wheel on the right- we drive on the left in Australia. It is not in the glovebox. I have removed the glovebox and inspected all the wiring. The glovebox has the cutout for the obd port but there is nothing there. No screw marks etc so that tells me that it has never been used . I have removed most of the plastic panelling across the front of the car and there is no sign of wiring or an obd port. I have looked around the centre console as I know a couple of cars here have their obd ports there. I cannot find it. I have taken it to an auto electrician friend of mine and he cannot find it. Now 2 questions. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where it might be? Where could Citroen have hidden it 🤔🤔🤔 And the 2nd question is could it be possible that the van was manufactured without an obd port. I have never heard of that but I guess it’s possible. Anyway if you have any ideas I would really appreciate them.
TIA 🙏🙏

This is a RHD Berlingo in the video. Is yours not where he points it out?

Thanx guys - It’s definitely not where any of the YouTube videos or even the workshop manual suggest
I have removed most of the plastic paneling from the dashboard on both sides and no sign of an obd port.
Has anyone ever experienced the obd port on a Berlingo being in a very unusual position. I have the obd port cutout in the glovebox plastic ( where it should be for this model). But nothing has ever been installed there.
Do you think it possible that a vehicle was manufactured without an obd port
