I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Life on the edge - the Diary of a C5
Is this how you would go long distances in Australia using an electric car ? Is towing a generator more energy efficient than having a diesel car ?
Long term though if garages stop selling diesel how will people who use generators manage such as those doing outside welding. Many places use generators as a back up electricity supply.

Hmm. Wouldn’t the generators run on red diesel or even TVO?

Autodoc stuff comes across from Germany, 1-2 weeks is normal from them, at least I'm my experience. I don't know if there's a faster postage option (as I go for the standard delivery that's free if over £140)Xantianut wrote: 15 Aug 2025, 16:03 Sadly we had to wait nearly 2 weeks for what should have been an overnight delivery for the brake line. Bloody EVRI! So that’s Autodoc off Daddy’s list.

Re: Life on the edge - the Diary of a C5
Well, the drop link has cured my suspension CLONK! I now ride as smoothly as only a Citroen can!
However, I am frightened. Papa discovered that I had a bad exhaust leak. I did not mean to poison my people! Or my greyhounds!!! Papa please don’t send me Away*. Papa had a Bad Experience with carbon monoxide when he was 16 and Tommy has been suffering breathing difficulties.
Anyway, the new flexi hose arrived. Cue what Papa thought would be an easy job!!! Hehehehehe, is anything easy on a Citroen? He had to come up with New Ideas to get at the bolts holding the exhaust clamps together then bought a 1 metre long crowbar
So rather than send the old flexi crashing to the drive I caught it and let him work it out.He fitted the new one with lashings of exhaust paste and “interesting” ways of getting to the clamp bolts to tighten them. He has also found what he thinks may be a pinhole in my centre pipe so has smeared some Gun Gum (he likes saying that…….
…..which he thinks should cure it. We shall see. As it is, I am spending one more night on my ramps before he checks my exhaust is gas tight tomorrow.
Oh, and all this on the Day he had his annual Diabetic Eye Exam so came home blind as a bat with the horrible eye drops. By the time he started on me, his vision had returned………
Anyway, gotta fly.
Love to all

Re: Life on the edge - the Diary of a C5
I feel for your papa Otter, I too have had a bit of an 'adventure' with CO long in the past so I well understand...
Let's hope all is gas-tight now..
And yes, no job on a Citroen is easy... They are, after all, French

Re: Life on the edge - the Diary of a C5
Papa was very nearly killed by CO when he was 16. He is 60 in November so isn’t doing badly!!!
However, when he started my powerful engine my exhaust was leaking so badly he says I sound like a Clayton Type 1! Now, I know he likes them but I want an English Electric engine!!!
Oh oh. I hear the sound on an electric impact gun being warmed up………

Hello, MyGlaren.
Daddy says that the Lightning burns kerosene which I’m not certain about.
I was hoping for the engine out of one of these. 16 cylinders, 4 turbos and 2,000 bhp. Oh, and they make Daddy drool…….
Although a Lightning would do the same come to think of it.
