Newbie Here

Unread post by John Pankhurst »

Hello all.
I've just joined, and donated, hoping to access the BX parts list as I need the prt number for the offside drive shaft for my '85 BX GT. I've been searching around but I can't find the link to the parts list, can any one help point me in the right direction please.

Cheers
John

Hi John and :welc:

Unfortunately the Forum's access to the Stellantis parts database is no longer available but we do have members with their own access and one of them may be able to help you. Failing that I have access to a backup system for pre 2012 cars but I'm not sure if it goes back far enough. I will have a look later today when I am in the place with my equipped PC. In the meantime you may get an answer from another member. :)

I have found 4 diagrams for the BX so it is easier for me to post all four and leave it to you to work out which one applies to your car. I assume it is 1.9 injected with ABS in which case it will be the ABS labelled one: :)

Thank you so much for this. My car is a twin choke Solex and no ABS GT so pre all the electronics. But hopefully I'll be able to find what I need
Thanks again

Hi Iain and thanks for the welcome.
Armed with the information mickthemaverick sent I was able to track the correct driveshaft down and is now on order :-D
Top job Mr Maverick and I'm sure I'll be calling on your expertise again at some point.

All done and normality is resumed. New drive shaft went on OK with no issues. The intermediate bearing housing bolts were fun but I got there in the end. Thanks again to mickthemaverick for his invaluable help.
