Fuel cap solenoid replacement

Unread post by Newpicman »

Last couple of times I've fuelled up I've had problems with the filler cap not locking or unlocking properly. I suspect it's the solenoid. Does anybody know a tutorial for replacement and also the part number for the part.

My car is a 2015 C4 Picasso hdi blue.

Thanks for any help and replies.

Unfortunately your car is too young for the parts diagrams I have access to but hopefully someone will help you out. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Thanks, saw that but also saw part number 9678313180 also for mk2 c4 picasso. Didn't want to order the wrong one, is there a way of knowing it is definitely the 780 one without removing the old one?

According to the instructions from this post, uninstalling is easy. Since it doesn't work remove it now to be sure what you should buy.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Had a look and the solenoid is working ok. The problem is the push button to the left hand side. Can't spray no wd40 as it's got a rubber seal around it. Tried pressing in and out plenty of times, odd now and again it stays at the pressed in position and vice versa. Will keep my eye on it and possibly take apart to access from behind the rubber and spray some lubricant.
Thanks again everyone.
