Evening All,
i recently bought a cheap 2013 DS5, £1500 sold as seen.
Since having it i've replaced a rear passenger door, door straps, from wishbones, tie rod ends, CV boot, bonnet struts, boot struts to start. i upgraded the radio software, bought a panasonic tablet and a Actia PSA XS Evolution 9780.Z5 Pro Car Diagnostic Tool.
i noticed a few issues straight away with the excluding the above ones i replaced, one being after 30 minutes of driving the drivers front wheel would trow up a error connecting to to the TPMS. i bought a new sensor and had it fitted today at a garage and 30 minutes later the same error popped up on the screen.
i've now scanned the car with Diagbox and got the following errors.
BSI ERRORS
U1F00 00
B162C 12
B1818 1C
Engine ECU
P2566 - (Just ordered a new BOOST PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE) Hoping that fixes this one.
Hybrid Control Unit 1
P1ABF
Under Inflation Detection
C1603
Service Module
FD80
Clock
B1004 96
There was around 40 errors when i first scanned, i wiped them all and the above ones came back. the car only drives in auto mode, which i presume is related to P1ABF.
VIN - VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Milage 247880
Any help on how to resolve these would be very much appriciated.

Re: Few Error Codes
Are those current codes, or history codes?
Does your hybrid drive work ok or not?
There are a few previous threads relating to those codes on a hybrid drivetrain.
For example:
viewtopic.php?t=82214
viewtopic.php?t=74127
Unfortunately on those threads, no one reported back with the solutions, but the fault code diagnostic information may still prove helpful to you.
Also worth doing further searches on the forum to look at previous threads.
I don’t have access to the PSA fault information (so nothing specific to your car and if someone else on the forum comes along who does have the ability to look up specific to your car then definitely follow their feedback over mine) but from a search online, starting with the BSI.
U1F00 00 is a Can communication fault.
B162C 12 is Accessories Positive Relay control incoherent
B1818 1C is Oil level fault signal out of range
B162C 12 means something electrical won’t be getting supplied power, which could cause all kinds of other faults, so I’d start with this - get power back onto everything that should have it. Multiple reports online find a fuse is blown causing this error and replacing the fuse resolves, so worth checking.

Re: Few Error Codes
These are all current faults as of reading the car last night, i just took a battery voltage test of the 12v battery and its reading 12.27v resting state. i will repalce that tomorrow in the hope that some of the elecrical issues are down to this battery. i found the following info online
A resting voltage of 12.27V is too low for a modern vehicle with complex electronics, especially a DS5 Hybrid4. This reading confirms that your battery is significantly discharged and is the most probable cause of the cascade of electrical faults you are experiencing.
Why 12.27V is a problem
Not fully charged: A fully charged 12V battery should read at least 12.6V.
Risk of damage: A discharged battery can trigger a range of issues, from BSI communication failures (U1F00) to component-specific errors like the hybrid fault (P1ABF).
Compromised performance: A battery that isn't holding a full charge can't supply enough stable voltage to the car's sensitive electronic control units. This can cause intermittent faults and trigger error codes across multiple systems.
After work i will grab my multimeter and start testing all fuses also and see if i can locate anything that needs to be swapped out.

Re: Few Error Codes
I would be surprised if it's a battery fault. Like you said above 'intermittent faults and error codes'. Could you get a battery from another car or borrow one for 10 minutes to see if the codes remain after being wiped?

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Re: Few Error Codes
i bought one today, it arrives tomorrow, will get it fitted and do the BSI reset and see if it fixes any of the issues.
i read that:
"When the BSI detects that the 12V battery voltage is critically low or unstable, it starts shutting down non-essential, high-draw components to ensure there is enough power to operate the essential systems. The electric motor, which draws a significant amount of power, is one of the first systems to be disabled in this "economy mode".

Re: Few Error Codes
Yes, (economy mode is the countdown I was referring to). Which I believe is just a battery protection method to prevent it going flat. Something as simple as an interior light being on constantly can reduce the battery. It can be as simple as that.

Re: Few Error Codes
After a new battery, repairing a frayed wire in the BSM fuse box and replacing a blown 20 amp fuse in the glove box im now down to three error code
P1ABF
P0215
FD80
will check some more connectors tomorrow, BSM was corrosion free, pins all looked in good shape, the FD80 i have a new module on the way. so just the remaining two to bottom out.
