Trying to find out my engine number via vin as looks to have corroded away and need to register with dvla as was ex mod vehicle so no registration was issued

The letters in the vin will only give the engine type and not its serial number so the full vin needs to be used to look up the car characteristics which includes the engine serial number which I think Relay exmod wants. To post the vin or part of it without being hidden, it can be done by putting spaces between each letter and number.

Tryed a couple of the payed hpi reports but no luck only give you the engine type even the like of car vertical don't have much regarding this

If you can find the engine type from the VIN it would narrow it down considerably, as engines can put the engine plate on different areas of the block
