DW10FC Engine oil

Unread post by Uberderv »

Hi all,

The listed oil for this engine (in the stickys) is incorrect. It has changed from 0w-30 to 5w30 FPW9.55535/03, PSA B71 2290 or PSA B71 2297 approvals.

When you say "in the stickys" I'm not sure where you mean? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Hello,

I wanted to verify, if this is a confirmed information!?
Is there any official proove on that?

DW10FC is the BlueHDI180 engine right?
I am asking for the specific engine identification "AH01", which I cannot find in the sticky list.

I used the "Total Quartz INEO First 0W-30" till today.
The mentioned specification seems to be the "Total Quartz Ineo RCP 5W-30".

I find a lot of information, that the BlueHDI130 with DV5R engine has been moved to the Total Quartz Ineo RCP 5W-30 oil. (timing chain, etc. has been mentioned as reason)
But not for the BlueHDI180?

Thank you!

Note the topic linked to above is not being kept up to date and to get the latest oil specs a dealer needs to be visited for the latest service schedule for your car which lists the recommended oil spec.

The 1.5 hdi DV5R engine still has a timing belt but the cam shafts are joined by a chain that can fail.

Total Energies which is Peugeots preferred oil supplier recommends 5W-30.
