Ah..... here it comes.....
All my tips come from mainly my Experience but some from other users.
Tip 3. Re the estimated battery miles, you need to drive the car to 0% and few times, doing this will see the estimated range increase. Also, if you reset your tip at the same time you charge, you will see you get more miles than is estimated.
Added after some thought.....I think the car doesn't record how much battery you use, but only the amount you add, and calculates the range on an average of the last so many charges.

Thanks. Great tip.
Its so refreshing after coming from a ds9 that there are people out there to give tips.

As for suspension, remember comfort mode only comes in around 25-30mph. I went across the join between the resurfaced and scraped road and didn't feel the ramp.

Re: Citroen C5 X recharge while driving
I didn't realise that, worth knowing.
Just been out to look at the rear suspension bumpstop gap on the C5X for curiosity. I bet it wasnt even 10mm on the DS9, on the C5X it's at least 2 inches, lol.

Had a look and feel, there appears to be a hole on the internal roof rail, could the be top mounts for a safety guard? The flap have t he Peugeot logo on them too, so may be worth browsing the Peugeot accessories brochure.DS9 wrote: 25 Jul 2025, 00:14 This is a random one. What's those little flaps which open just in front of the rear grab handles? Are they to stick some accessory in?

I'll have a look when I get time.
I went a different way with the boot tray vs the non genuine car mats I ordered yday. I prefer a tray over rubber and carpet. Got a genuine one off fleabay for £45 inc delivery.

Re: Citroen C5 X recharge while driving
3-4 days in and I like the car, surprised at the amount of road noise though. I thought on the narrowish tyres it would be quieter. Maybe coming from a saloon with 2 layers of dodomat in the boot It's coming from there a fair bit.
Will have a look at how I can get into the boot sidewalls and try and get a load of sound deadening over the wheelarches.
Can't help thinking the plastic cladding here and there is maybe throwing up a bit of sound too. The doors which weighed a lot on the DS9 are a bit tinny on the C5X too.

I think the road noise is better than most cars i have driven. Your tyres are the right pressures?
I have a polystyrene insert beneath the boot carpet.

Re: Citroen C5 X recharge while driving
Just looking at one of the handbooks and can find no mention of the correct tyre pressures. I presume you know them off the top of your head?
That boot floor needs a couple of layer or two of dodomat, I think it'll improve it. Unlike the saloon I had before the noise will get more easily into the cabin.
The boot sidewalls seem a pain, I couldn't work out how to take em off, ideally I hope I don't have to. When I had the DS9 I didn't need to and found the process easier. The seats werent full width in the rear and each side had a bolster cushion between the seat backrest and the door. Remove this and I could get in and put loads in. In the C5X there is just a single piece of plastic running from about foot level all the way up to the parcel shelf. If i put my hand behind it though it does have some woolly stuff in there already.

Re: Citroen C5 X recharge while driving
Is there not a sticker on the end of the door or on the B pillar with the tyre pressures?
If not try: https://www.tyre-pressures.com/bycar/citroen/c5_x

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

I'll have a look when I next pop down. It was close to the B pillar on the DS9.

I have the factory fitted subwoofer surrounded by the preformed insulation in that space
It's one of the quieter cars we've owned, and that's coming from have full EV the past few years
But I do make use of the upgraded sound system of course

Re: Citroen C5 X recharge while driving
I've just got the preformed with the cable in.
Checked the tyres. The sticker for empty says 2.2 bar front and 2.1 rear. Mine were 2.25 front and 2.35 rear so I let some air out. Not so sure it'll make much difference.

Re: Citroen C5 X recharge while driving
Had a little issue last night, opened the boot with the wiggly foot thing, it raised a few cm and then wouldnt close. Gave a 2 beep warning signal. could close on the key Then I slowly fully extended it tried again on the key and the same. Then I pressed the 2 press boot open button and it was sorted. Fine now.
Managed to find a bit of a saving yesterday on the dodomat sound deadening. Everywhere has the Hex roll at £60 which I've used before, I think I bought 2 for the DS9 and then some cheap foam rubber stuff off ebay. The equivalent foam rubber from dodomat is called superliner, about the same area as the Hex and costs £50. On the dodmat site they have a "Dodo Mat Car kit", one of each for £85 inc delivery.
When it arrives I'll do the wheel wells next wkend. I've already been through the leaning curve on the DS9, wheel off, take out all the torq screws holding in the plastic surround, take it out. Then just apply the hex to base metal and where there's room a layer of foam on top. Then cover the plastic surround with Hex. Put it all back together..... not forgetting to put some on the wing panels too. Taking my time a pair of wheels takes about 2-3hrs and is quite therapeutic. There is no need to be neat as you'll never see it again.
A while back before I did the DS9 I found this guy a good watch.
In the DS9 i managed to take the side bolsters out in the rear seats and feel behind the back of the boot side panels, then just blindly stuck loads on over the top of the wheel well and on the wing, and I'm not sure I can access that area on the C5X.
