Yes I think so too bobins, but I wouldn't buy anything off someone with that apparent attitude, not to mention lack of product knowledge of his wares!!bobins wrote: 02 May 2025, 17:00 If the dial goes straight to overheating then I'd have thought it's either a duff or shorted temp sensor or wiring ?

A really nice car in its day Mick I took one part exchange in Hereford back in the fifties when I worked for a Birmingham dealer, the only problem we found was the battery box, in the boot, had the bottom rotted out, That's a Brum car by the reg number.

Nice car but 46 years five owners, 7000 miles, why?
First worry would be all the rubber bits, it's clearly had new tyres, they probably fell apart with age but what about all the other rubber stuff, hoses etc?

Interestingly on looking at the Renault listing again I notice it is from the same seller as the XM estate I posted above. He declares himself a 'hobbyist' as far as cars are concerned but responds to inquiries in a similarly rude manner to his answers to me. Avoid at all costs I'd say!!

Ha ha, ask if he knows how the temperature gauge works on this one!
(The XM had a question about it's LPG system "is the tank in the boot?" Basically "I'll have a look to see" was the reply!)

I want the chickens that were nesting in there as well. It's the only thing that gives it any value!

Harsh Paul!
I thought the dustbin lid and the steering wheel between them should raise a tenner surely?
