Window drop, wont go into to much about this as theres enough already on here regarding this issue, i had to replace a door handle as the sensor was dropping and closing the window while driving or parked up . If you need to remove the door card.
Different car but same way of removing the handle
I dont own this videos just posting for refernce for any one who needs help

It's surprisingly easy to get the handles off when you know how, isn't it!
On the lighting bar, could it potentially sit behind the grille? Worth popping the bumper off for a try (I've always found bumper removal a job that seems to turn out much less involved than I'd imagined. Not done the 308 as yet mind you!)

Most peugoets are the same might just have to odd slight differ in clips and screw locations but there all simliar, the wing to bumper is the pain in the ar
Sbecause of the way the wing / bumper clip and or 10mm bolt to each other, most ive seen have 10mm bolt then its clipped , bolt always is rusted to bits and ends up snapoing the plastic !

Yes, seems so. Quite a good system really. I put a bit of Red Rubber grease on the contact points and makes a noticeable improvement to ease and "feel" of the handle in use.Huskyxantia wrote: ↑05 Nov 2024, 19:22 Most peugoets are the same might just have to odd slight differ in clips and screw locations but there all simliar, the wing to bumper is the pain in the ar
Ah I've just been lucky this far then! No doubt jinxed my next bumper removal then! D'oh!Because of the way the wing / bumper clip and or 10mm bolt to each other, most ive seen have 10mm bolt then its clipped , bolt always is rusted to bits and ends up snapoing the plastic !

So, the door strap was really making a noise so its been removed & a new one has been ordered, door card off, speak out then hole to get your hand in to reach the strap , a hex bolt on the door post & 2 10mm nuts holding the strap to, bolt off nuts off too then remove via speaker hole, refit reverse of removal , theres a video on here of how to remove door card , i dont own the video its posted as educational use. Photos not in order but im sure they can tell the story.

When i took the door car off i noticed this spare loom
Any idea what it is for ? Door mirror is all plugged in so is the speaker .
I assume my door mirrors have the deicing feature which i think they do as i recall the mirrors deicing last winter when the demist feature was used . So any body know ? Maybe it could be used to power something else ?

When removing the cubby hole in the main dash console just under the stereo there is a small loom with plug sitting in a little housing its not being used and im wondering if this could power a dash clock like the ones in the rcz cars ? Has anyone seen this loom & know what it could be for.

Maybe it is something to do with the optional CD changer? Some wire codes and plug description would help identify it.

@ Huskyxantia "Door strap replaced with a DS4 strap

And you fitted this DS4 strap to your 308CC?
fits and works Ok?
Reason I ask I changed the wife's driver door strap and now the passenger is clonking when you open, I did the same on my Megane CC the 1st time I bought a Coupe check strap it looked the same from the image, the guy on Ebay said it is the same, same size door, but when it ws fitted it didn't fit as the CC had a slight bend in the rod were as Coupe was straight, so I would be interested to know if this DS4 strap fitted your 308CC and works ok as they are hefty doors, I think I paid in the region of £35 for her 308cc strap, so a tenner is a bargain if it works ok.
