Hi Marc, dram773,GiveMeABreak wrote: ↑08 Jun 2024, 12:33Hi Oliver, sorry I must of missed this post, so haven't been ignoring you. No, there is non programming required for the BGPA unit replacement, just be careful to photograph the position of all the fuses and wires before taking them off, as there is not guide to replacing them, as they can be different for each vehicle depending on fitted equipment.
Thanks for confirming that no programming is required. Also thanks to @dram773 for your useful posts on the bypass. I was a bit sceptical at first but will consider replacement parts on AliExpress for the next fix which I know I won’t need to wait long!
Just posting for the benefit of fellow Peugeot owners. I bought the replacement BPGA (Supplies protection and management unit) from eBay for £191.03 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276434980383) in May 2024 and swapped out the faulty BPGA in early June 2024. I followed the same steps as dram773 in this thread, i.e. battery disconnect procedure then connect to the new replacement BPGA fuses the way it was originally connected to the faulty BPGA. Every problem in my previous post disappeared and 4 months down the line, they haven’t reappeared since. I would say this is definitely a DIY job but just make sure BPGA is the problem before you buy the replacement.
Best,
Oliver
