If you're unsure of the amount of oil that has come out, best to drain and refill. I can help with the correct amount, if you provide your VIN so I can see the exact gearbox you have first. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

There is a mark on the tank which shows full level.

I used a Ravenol (German) product. I have done 30k km since filling so must be correct I suggest.

I think there's some confusion here as Don (Ceenine) is likely talking about the actuator oil not the manual gearbox oil (?). I believe the OP is talking about the manual gearbox oil, where there are no markings.

So assuming you're referring to the gearbox itself, then:

Quantity of oil to fill after draining: 2,1 ± 0,1 litres.
Quantity of oil to fill after an overhaul: 2,2 ± 0,1 litres.
Oil quality: 75W80.

Yes, you may need to remove the battery and the tray. It's gravity fed through the vent hole here:

If removing or disconnecting the battery, follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure
