Peugeot 208 1.2 puretech 2017 engine type

Unread post by Kristi »

Hello.

I have a 208 1.2 puretech from 2017 72000 miles. The car is in Great Britain. VIN : VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

1.Could you please tell me what type of engine i have and when I need to change the timing belt kit?

2.For the moment I use 0W30 oil. I've readed on the forum that peugeot recommended a different kind of oil for my engine. I use the good type of oil for my engine?

3.My car have a very high oil consumption, 1 litre weekly. Today I've changed the PCV valve. If the consumption will still be high after that what do you recomand to change?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi

For oil, your country code is 'A', so look up your engine code (HMZ) in the EB- tables for country A to see recommended oils:

On your vehicle, the timing belt kit needs initially replacing at 64k miles or 6 years, whichever comes first.

For parts info / diagrams, please see below:

We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.

I can only provide you with the parts diagrams and parts numbers Constantin. We don't provide technical documents for assembly / repair unless we have them individually, and I don't have them for this engine, sorry.
