Unread post by KennethLM »

Hallo sorry to ask, i know topic says c4.
I have a peugeot 5008 from 2017 new model. Same problem only heat on the drive side, its at LHD car..
When switcing to cold i the air flow is the same on both went i center dashboard, but with hot its most the left side.
Do eny 1 have a picture of the air vent flaps and so on.
I dont know if my issue is the heating matrix.

Hi Kenneth, it could be several possibilities, as in the heating distribution motor reducers or a blockage int he heating matrix.

If you need a parts diagram, please see below:

We can help if you need an original, genuine part number or part diagram, and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.

Ok, so this is the diagram of the blower motor, which also shows the flap for the air intake - and I assume that the reduction gear (4) is the one that opens or closes the flap for external or recycled air.

This is the heater Matrix:

I can't advise as to access, but there should be some checks you can do to see if the external / Internal air flap is working by using Diagbox that will allow the testing of the reduction motors.

The flap motors at (5) above are for the Air Temperature distribution and the Air Flow Distribution.

It will be a matter of determining whether one of the motors is faulty - or if it is heard to be operating, it may be the gearing has worn. Of course it may be none of the motors, but simply that there is a blockage in the heater pipes that tends to cause heating on one side and not the other.

Update they say i have a faulty cooling termostat. They did a drive with tester and the coling heat only came up to 52 degrees.
But when I drive home the car temp says 90.
The temp that comes i dashboard must be the same as when they test with a tester, or can the car get diffrens signal from the temp sensor?

No it should provide the same reading (within the available) scale of the dash display of course, BUT really depends on what is wrong with the sensor.

The sensor should change the electrical signal depending on the temperature and that is interpreted to display the temperature on the dash. Obviously if the temp. sensor is faulty then I would expect the signal to be up and down. But I would not trust it or rely on it if the sensor is known to be faulty. I suppose it depends on what is actually wrong with the sensor and whether it's internal or an electrical fault with the wiring as to what ends up on your display, so I should correct what I said earlier on reflection.
