You could follow through with a swill of Methylated Spirits. This will absorb water and can then be drained out. Any water left after that will quickly evaporate.

Ok, is the home used one good (90% Ethanol I think)
Methanole is not easy to find here in Italy (they used it as a wine addendum..)

Yes I think that would be the same thing. It's also known as adulterated alcohol.

Google translate calls it acquavite metilata.

I think literally it means water of life and is known as such in many languages (eaux-de-vie, uisce beatha, aqua vitae, akvavi, etc) and refers to distilled alschol in general, usually whisky or some rough local drink.

Maybe alcool metilato is a better translation?

Nope
Alcool metilato I think refers to Methanol
This is a very dangerous substance for our body (Heavy impacts on liver if I remember well)

The one that we drink and use to disinfect or clean is Ethanol
It has minor impact on liver (depends on quantity) and to prevent drinking it is added with bad tasting substances so it becomes Denaturated alcohol (alcool denaturato in Italian language)
That I think is the same as Methylated Spirits..

Buh..

Yes that's right. Methanol is poisonous to the body. Does metilato mean methanol or methylated? I thought the latter so that's ethanol with a small amount of methanol added. Not pure methanol.

In Italia metilato = methylated not methanol (metanolo).
Anyway
I ordered some broken pieces and tomorrow they will arrive.
Is there some place to look for torque values for screws?
I must reassemble the oil conduct from engine to turbo with the new banjo that has bigger filter.
And all the DPF with thermal shields, they were broken in particular the back one... I bought a new one.
And then all screws for servicing the timing belt and water pump.

Today I was by Citroen dealer here in my town
They told me that the timing chain don't have a service schedule.
Just they control its noise (difficult to diagnose) and they change it if needed.
They told me that at 200k km itv could be wise to change it and they request 2000€ to do the job....

Crazy!
With 1500€ I can buy a completely refurbished engine and with 500€ a mechanic for sure will mount it into the car.
No way, I will go until it eventually break.

Citroen dealers know how to charge a lot of money! A good incentive to learn how to do the job yourself ;)

I've enjoyed the Italian language training and I'm wishing you all good success and all will be good when reassembled :) Do let us know how it goes...

As for torque, those with access to the information may be able to advise but generally, just use your experience and common sense.

Enjoy a great weekend :)

Enjoyable discussion on "what's the Italian for methylated spirits" :-D my understanding is methylated= methanol added and this is done purely for the purposes of making it undrinkable. As said methanol will make you sick, so add some to ethanol makes it less desirable as a way of getting very drunk! :rofl2:

I've cleaned out intercooler with soapy water in the past. Also paraffin is good as a cheap first rinse through. Then soapy water. Then shake / tip over and over / side to side to try and pour out any significant amounts. Then dry, upside down in the sun. If nervous about residual water, is possible to dry it out further in a low oven say 100 to 120°C will ensure any moisture is gone without melting the plastic end caps. (Seek "approval" before going for this!)

Perhaps a heat gun to speed things up without resorting to an oven?
I didn't do my own, left it to the capable ones.

I found the assembly instructions in a video from a guy on youtube, they are 30Nm +/- 5Nm
Here are the pics also with spacers to center the tube
Turbo oil feed top.jpg
Turbo oil feed bottom.jpg
Here is the video

Just another question
Timing belt is serviced at 240k km more or less and I'm going to replace it because my car has 200k/14 years and I don't know if it was serviced before and when it was if yes..
In a video on the tube the guy changed the Krankshaft oil sealer (it was really oil dirty)
Is it the case of change it in any case because next service will be at 400k km more or less (I'm confident ;) )
Here is the video

That video is a good one... I'd be tempted to change the crankshaft oil seal whilst there as if it does start to leak it's a difficult job. Easy whilst changing the cambelt. Also, change the water pump. If you do not, they often fail just after fitting a new belt!

Yes of course I change the water pump it's in the timing belt kit.
And I ordered the oil seal too ;)
Unluckily pieces didn't arrive today... Next week will be hot!

We have been promised the same here in the UK... We have almost forgotten what hot is

Hoping all the parts arrive very soon so you can have a fully working car :)
