Re: Misty Mornings with 2020 vision
I use it on compression joints (plumbing) to allow them to be tightened without binding and release easier.mickthemaverick wrote: 31 Dec 2020, 10:51Of course !! Why is there something else it was useful for?Paul-R wrote: 31 Dec 2020, 10:48 Indeed - smearing on battery terminals to prevent corrosion.
That is what you meant, isn't it?![]()

Also on woodscrews and nuts & bolts, depending where they are used, screws wind in a lot easier but even better are more easily removed. On cars I use Coppaslip in preference.
1001 uses.
Not a good idea to apply it to camera lenses though, the trick there is to apply it to a UV filter kept aside for such applications.
No mist here this morning.

Re: Mistless Morning with Blurred vision
Not a trace of mist. Clear night.
Had a look at 06:30. No mist.
Then 07:30. No mist and still dark.
Fell asleep, woke at 9:00 and this is what it was like. Bins, crap cars but mist conspicuous only by it's absence.

Re: Misty Mornings with 2020 vision
This morning, when I went to collect mum (for her shoulder to be stabbed) the River Kennet had a few wisps of mist, so I got a couple of photos.

Well we filled up 8 pages of this at one time, but nothing since January 2021...
...but today was indeed a misty morning so brace yourselves, a vision-on Tuesday 29th November 2022 celebration gallery from the Falcon.

Re: Misty Mornings with 2020 vision
This time of year is almost perfectly summed up by the famous poetic line of John Keats.
"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness"
and to a lesser extent by the nicely named album from Robin Trower
"long misty days"

Our local hill, Tinto(*), over the mist on the way to work earlier on the week.
