That is what you meant, isn't it?
Of course !! Why is there something else it was useful for? :?:  :-D
I use it on compression joints (plumbing) to allow them to be tightened without binding and release easier.
Also on woodscrews and nuts & bolts, depending where they are used, screws wind in a lot easier but even better are more easily removed. On cars I use Coppaslip in preference.
1001 uses.

Not a good idea to apply it to camera lenses though, the trick there is to apply it to a UV filter kept aside for such applications.

No mist here this morning.

Not a trace of mist. Clear night.
Had a look at 06:30. No mist.
Then 07:30. No mist and still dark.
Fell asleep, woke at 9:00 and this is what it was like. Bins, crap cars but mist conspicuous only by it's absence.

This morning, when I went to collect mum (for her shoulder to be stabbed) the River Kennet had a few wisps of mist, so I got a couple of photos.

Well we filled up 8 pages of this at one time, but nothing since January 2021...

...but today was indeed a misty morning so brace yourselves, a vision-on Tuesday 29th November 2022 celebration gallery from the Falcon.

This time of year is almost perfectly summed up by the famous poetic line of John Keats.

"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness"

and to a lesser extent by the nicely named album from Robin Trower

"long misty days"
