That's pretty impressive

AIUI, Gib can have the interesting feature of having different wind directions at each end of the runway. I've observed a few go-arounds whilst perched on The Rock in the past, and I think only had to put up with one whilst coming in to land. Someone once commented that Monarch (???) airline pilots were on a better bonus scheme than BA pilots so were more likely to land on Gib than divert - all untrue, of course
Mentour Pilot did a tie-in with Tom Scott in a flight simulator a few months ago with their respective Youtube channels. The idea was to see if Tom Scott (no flying experience) could be talked down by (Petter) Mentour Pilot - Line Trainer and Type Rating Examiner, over the radio. The answer was no.... when it was down to manual flying, and yes when using auto pilot.
