HI,
Peugeot 3008, 2016, 1.6 THP 165 BHP. no evident specific malfunction and no engine light on.
I am getting a reading for P13BA trouble code - I can't find anything about it on the service box (or maybe i am looking in the wrong place) - can anyone shed some light about it ?
being that this is a BMW originated engine, I found that per BMW it is likely related to the camshaft sensor or harness ..
thank you

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
Are you sure that's not a P13BE ? I'm not getting this as a valid fault code.
Maybe if you pop the VIN up for this vehicle I can double check against the exact engine.

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
https://www.engine-codes.com/p13ba_bmw.html - found this for BMW, which in these engines might mean something I guess, being they are BMW's...
however, I changer the sensor, nothing changed...
re p16a7 - I also changed the "diaphragm" (part in pic, part of the cylinder head cover), nothing changed.

RE oil vapour recirculation circuit HEATER - the turbo hose isn't an original one - maybe this is the cause ?508c5 wrote: 05 Sep 2022, 16:27THIS IS THE READ FROM DIAGBOXGiveMeABreak wrote: 30 Aug 2022, 20:08 Are you sure that's not a P13BE ? I'm not getting this as a valid fault code.

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
That is highly likely. You can probably mask the error by fitting a resistor across the connector, I would start with 50?, but make sure the power rating is sufficient (5W) for 12V applied.508c5 wrote: 05 Sep 2022, 16:38 RE oil vapour recirculation circuit HEATER - the turbo hose isn't an original one - maybe this is the cause ?

I can test it - replace it with the original one I have on my 508 and see if anything changes for the better.
however, i used a non genuine pipe before but never came across this kind of fault.
any clue about the P13BA ??

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
Exchanged between the pipes and after a test drive P16A7 didn't come back
P13BA - still a conundrum

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
Maybe it is related to the VVT ? Would it make sense ?

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
So...now a P0367 code popped - "Motorized throttle Unit. adaptive at limit" (again, no change in car's behavior) - combining the two maybe indicates (as i suspected) that the VVT valve is not working properly ?

Re: P13BA ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU PROBLEM
P0367 isn't a fault listed under this engine, so I can't provide further detail.
