Further to my earlier post, the branch had indeed sheered off the tree and I have spent the last 30 minutes chopping it up to fit it all in the garden waste bin which is due to be emptied tomorrow. A decent drink and half an hour later the dahlias are recovering quite well and Mother Nature has taken over the nursing roll with a very welcome and pleasant shower!! :-D

I am pretty sure I have never seen a C8 IRL. Generally speaking, the Eurovans are not that common around here, but the C8, I cannot recall any instance of seeing one. There are a lot of C4 Picasso, C3 Picasso and Xsara Picasso still on the road though.

On my shelf I have a new door carriage for a C8, (the bit with the wheels that the sliding door runs on) if anyone has a use for it it can be had for the price of the postage.

We have a combo unit and the dryer part just failed a couple of months ago, 2 months after being out of warranty. The broken part was too expensive (something like half the price of the unit) so we were drying the clothes outside, in the sun. So I am already prepared for this :)

I live alone so haven't a great deal of washing anyway but dislike the dryer. I can't use most detergents and certainly no fabric conditioner and find I dislike the way that things smell after being in the dryer and have to hang them up to 'air' anyway. Far prefer to have them dry outdoors or in poor weather on the clothes horse and in the boiler cupboard. Put a rail in there and the clothes on hangers, all ready to put in the wardrobe :)

If I do use it it is during the day and uses solar electric, same as washer, dishwasher, shower, vacuum etc.
When they work, that is. If they are unfixable they will be binned, don't need them. Different when there were seven of us living here.

When I saw this Church yesterday at Newton St Boswells in the Borders I though immediately of the Church at Auvers and Vincent Van Gogh's painting of it. Obviously not exact but appropriately just an impression.

Go on admit it, if you wandered past one of these with a photographic device on your person, you would do the same as me...I did walk past several Kawasaki 900's without clicking the shutter...
