Completely unknown to me and if it had cropped up would have been skipped after ten seconds. Dreadful.

Sixties:

Five seconds. Awful :(

Seventies:

Unrecognised and no surprise either.

Eighties:

As #1.
Are they deliberately digging up the worst they can find?

Try this one, no points on offer just see if you know. Our County in the spotlight threads recently covered the entire united kingdom so should be pretty easy.

Question of the day, with University Challenge season not yet upon us, its a while since we had the cream of England's finest Schools and Universities coming up with a "North of Watford" howler. :-D
Darlington is in which Country of the United Kingdom :?:
Clue...Darlington would not be a correct example to give to the question "Will you be spending a lot of time in Scotland in order to build a better United Kingdom. :?: "

The daily exercise

50% today :-D two fails Original and 70's as for yesterday. I was familiar with the 70's group and song but they took too long to get to a recognisable bit.

Original Heardle https://www.spotify.com/heardle/
60's heardle, https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/
70's heardle, https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/
80's heardle https://heardle80s.com/

In order today went, Original, Fail, threw Metallica, slipknot and Megadeth to the guesses but really no chance , 60's (2 Secs) clearly the golden age of the intro 70's Fail, , 80's (2 Secs)

also slipped into trying the 90's for a change....came back empty handed. :-D

here endeth my 20,069th post on the FCF, not my best, that was post number 19,998 viewtopic.php?p=723220#p723220

Was it easy enough Mick, or a decent workout :?: :-D

The book is Simon Jenkins Britain's 100 Best Railway Stations mentioned before by me, and there was the word "Scotland" in shot.

How did you get to the answer ?

From the 'Scotland' in the picture I DDG'd Station clocks in Scotland and then worked through the image results!! Not too difficult once I had examined the original and found the Scotland!! :-D

Nice work. On the subject of station clocks this one is particularly "interesting" from a trivia point of view

The link is the makers name, which was also the name of... :?:
The answer lies in the pages of the FCF somewhere, or a bit of first hand finding out :-D

Also named elsewhere were a number of people called Joyce from James Joyce, through Yootha Joyce to Steve's cousin Joyce but I am plumping for the Eastgate Clock also made by Joyce of Whitchurch being the answer you are seeking? :-D

No not that one Mick, of the 5 times I have mentioned "Joyce" on the FCF the link is the 5th of the 5. Eastgate clock was the 4th. When you see what the 5th is about the penny will drop about the link :-D

Regards Neil

PS...Its six now since I have just mentioned "Joyce" in this post :-D

I think I'm missing something here, as far as I can work out Neil, your fifth mention of Joyce was in relation to the author of the Bob the Builder theme, Can we fix it? My penny appears to be stuck unless you are referring to the fact that the Carnforth clock was restored, ie fixed? :-D
