Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
Well i think i have managed to get everything back up and running.
Replacement head unit now in place, all firmware up to date and all configurations set to those from the original unit and Vin coded to the car
And not only that the phone is working correctly again so the good lady is happy ( well for a short while )
Only issue i have is that the sat nav thinks it is in Cardiff but fingers crossed that will sort itself out once it has been driven for a while, only seeing 1 satellite at the moment.
Thanks for all the help much appreciated

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
Just a final update on this one
Everything is working 100% as it should, the sat nav has now got its bearings and knows where it is
I know it pays to shop around but i think i got a bargain in getting the replacement head unit for £120

Well done! Hard to say what the cause was - could be a the GPS tuner, the internal flash storage giving up - but at least you know where you're going now!

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
Hi Marc
Just posting here as i think my problem with the audible indicator warning maybe down to me not setting the parameters correctly when i swapped the head unit over.
I am 99.9% sure i set everything correctly but i was wondering if you could take a look back at the pictures i posted in this thread of the screenshots in case you think something looks wrong or if as the head unit is from a newer vehicle there is a parameter in another ECU i need to change.
Not sure if you can get any info from the vin but have updated the thread in the Citroen section about swapping head units back if that makes sense.

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
I've had a look Colin, my notes below:
1st Screenshot. The correct settings for the items I have listed are 'Absent' not 'Missing'. If you can change to Absent I would do so.
Heating Ventilation (change to Absent)
Parking Aid - Absent
Under Inflation Detection - Absent
Screenshot 2 - All Correct
Screenshot 3 - All Correct
Screenshot 4 - All Correct
Screenshot 5 - All Correct
Screenshot 6 - N/A
So it's not any of these settings, unless the change to Absent for the first 3 items makes a difference Colin.

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
Hi Marc
I have just tried to change the settings and it does not show Absent for any of the 3.
The odd bit on the Heating/Ventilation setting option screen it says must be set to Absent if it has a dedicated A/C panel but i do not get the option to set it to Absent.
Is it possible my version of DB 7.58 is not upto reading the newer head unit correctly, or more to the point not giving me the correct options ?

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
I've checked the change logs Colin and there is no mention of any issues regarding the C5 concerning this specific area. It may be a faulty module in the car, but temporarily replacing the old unit may provide a clue if it is this or not.

Thanks Marc
Out of curiosity could you find a diagram/location price of the module just so i can maybe give the Good Lady a few days to calm down and rejoin the rest of us on Planet Earth
Weekend i will swap the old unit back but have a gut feeling on this one lol

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
As far as I can tell the speaker unit is in the switch module - most likely item (1) - Multifunction Control Module. Item (2) is the VMF Integral Switch Module which handles all the steering wheel controls.
Sitting Down? Maybe wise to give Mrs Colin a few weeks, I'm not sure a few days will cut it!
Item (1) 6242 RG, £426.97
Item (2) 98030642ZD £499.46
So really important to confirm this is the fault. Of course, if the switch module needs replacing you'll need to have the steering wheel angle sensor calibrated too, or the ESP system will throw a wobbly Colin.

Re: I Phone issues with MyWay / WIPNAV
Setting the Steering Angle Sensor is actually fairly simple providing you have a Lexia/Diagbox. Basically, it's a matter of making sure that when the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position that the angle registered is 0. If it isn't then change it to zero.
