207cc abs/esp fault

Post by lydecker777 »

weve had several peugeot 207cc convertibles over the years , all been great motors..
however the latest one 2012 white garros only 39k is causing big issues.. just had a split hydraulic hose in the boot for the roof.. and now the dreaded esp/abs problem..

So ive removed the pump and have sent it to control codes, whom confirmed the pump is working fine..

downloaded peugeot planet and there is no communication to the pump whatsoever..

checked the fuse..all good..

checked the plug and wires nearby when removing the pump and they all seem ok?

So my findings is the car is a cat d from light front end damage,, could of the original pump been damaged and a replacement has been fitted but not with the right part number, hence no communication to the ecu?

can anyone point me in the right direction to get the correct part number for my vehicle?

and i have now got peugeot planet and the lead, so if another member is stuck around the Telford shropshire area, let me know cheers !

Hi

It's possible, as the pump and the ECU are generally separable. They do need configuring to the specific vehicle equipment so can't just be swapped unless the donor is from an identically-equipped vehicle.

We can assist with parts info, but as we are charged, we require a membership upgrade - which will provide live official parts info for up to 2 years. Details in the table below and then just pop your VIN up.

Hi and thanks for your Forum donation. Any further parts requests, just post up.

So as you can see, the complete hydraulic block item (1) with attached ECU can be purchased new or an exchange block can also be purchased. Both these would need configuring though.

Peugeot Original Brand New Complete block and ECU, part: 4541TH £1,448.29
Exchange Block & ECU, Part: 1682609380, £1,407.00

Alternatively, if the block is functional and the ECU is suspect, then this can also be replaced individually item (2).

Brand new OEM ECU only, Part: 4542AG, £958.01
207 ABS.PNG
All prices inc. VAT and correct as of time of post.

So at least you have the correct parts for the options shown.

The part numbers I have supplied are the official PSA internal part numbers. The other numbers you have quoted are the wider international / manufacturer numbers and I can't verify these of course.

It's my understanding that if you suspect this may have been replaced already, potentially with an incorrect part then you will be no better off searching on 9674415980.

The part number you provided brings this up:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-Citr ... 4659768138

But I can't tell you if this is correct - as it's not the PSA number provided.

You can also use 4541TJ, as this would of been the same official part, but pre-programmed for your vehicle - which they no longer supply.

hi, cheers for that, it does clear it up a bit as ive searched the 4541tj/h number and its given me

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203604609156

which shows as 9676244380... not 9674415980 on the abs motor.. so im going to search for a second hand one of these and take it from there

Bear in mind that PSA provided similar models of ABS / ESP pumps across their marques and models - so a C3 pump may well of been identical to the 207. however, the ECU still needs configuring to match equipment specific to the vehicle once you have it fitted.

You will need Diagbox, as Peugeot Planet is for older vehicles circa 2007 and earlier, but no need to worry as Diagbox also contains the encapsulated Lexia and PP2000 software anyway - and will launch the appropriate programme dependent upon model and year.
