Re: Centre brake light
Thanks Marc. I am indeed stuck...... got into it, I can see the bulbs I've bought are correct but the units are sealed. Could have put that £10 towards a replacement. Cheers..... just looked at it. Its £70 when I click on it...?

Re: Centre brake light
Agreed, you'd have to be well-determined to start unsealing and replacing these bulbs - the re-sealing is also generally another issue and rarely holds.
I replaced 2 Front fog lamp units on my X7 as they constantly got water inside - despite fannying about trying to find a leak and reseal them up - total waste of time. Replaced with new pattern units and problem solved.

Re: Centre brake light
Try again - there are 3-4 options along the top, depending on which unit you want.

Re: Centre brake light
It was a bit fiddly to get apart, you need to take the lens out then the circuit board with the LED's on

Re: Centre brake light
Hi Dean
This was my light coming apart
The lens was held in place with a tiny amount of glue, prised off carefully with a knife blade, then wiggled out the reflector. The circuit board is just pushed into place and the 2 power supply probes go through the circuit board, I pulled it out with a couple of hook tools. Then I desoldered the LED'S from the board , fitted the new ones and tested it before reassembling.
Hope this helps

Re: Centre brake light
All the above seems like a lot of work, but it is not too bad and a lot cheaper than buying new. ( I am addicted to repairing rather than replacing!).

Re: Centre brake light
Thanks for that Steve. I've got into the light by prising it slowly apart, as you say, it's glued shut, but inside mine is different to yours. Mine is in three separate clear, sealed units. How do I upload a photo on here? Can't see an icon to upload? Mine looks totally different to your pictures inside? Thanks
