My passenger side rear shock absorber is loose at the top.
I can't see how to access the top of the rear shock absorber as it goes behind the wheel arch trim.
Does anyone know how to access the top of the shock absorber?
Do I need to remove the wheel arch trim, or do I access it from inside the boot, and take off the side panel?
I need to get this tightened up asap.

Ok, so you access the top of the rear strut from the boot:
Remove:
The nut is then exposed at (9) above.
Torque:
The Nut at (1) needs to be tightened to 4,5 daNm
Remove:
- The boot carpet (4)
- The boot end trim (5)
- The bolt (6)
- The cover (7)
The nut is then exposed at (9) above.
Torque:
The Nut at (1) needs to be tightened to 4,5 daNm

Re: C4 Picasso (B78) 2014 rear shock absorber - how to access top?
Thanks very much.
I managed to get it sorted.
I found the problem - the top mount had come completely loose and come off completely, so the top of the strut was just rattling around unattached to anything.
The garage must have hand tightened it and forgot to use tool on that bolt.
It got replaced about 2 years ago, so it must have shaken free slowly over time.
The driver side was fine.
