Hi guys. Have an issue with a 307SW that is doing my head in!
Started out as sidelight not working properly when the indicator or brake light is on, L/H rear light unit. Took the bulb unit out and as suspected the earth pin terminal is a bit burnt, but still serviceable, and after cleaning the contacts I have good continuity between the earth 'path' on the bulb side and earth when connected.
I plugged it back in to find no lights working (that is to say, the sidelight and indicator on that side). Test lamp out, no power to the indicator (when hazards are on) and nothing to the sidelights (all other bulbs work fine, brake light to the L/H rear light cluster for example). I carefully sliced the wiring behind the plug, to get the test lamp probe in, and there is nothing to the wiring so not a connector or earth issue. I pulled the side panel off (to look at the wiring I may have inadvertantly damaged in taking the rear light out) and found the relay for the parking sensors, and found that the earth wire appears to go up the rear pillar, the rest of the wires appear to follow the loom and end up by the rear seats, presumably going up the cant rail to the front. The only thing worthy of noting is I tried disconnecting the battery (in case there is a BCM that is confused or similar as I've had with other cars). The sidelight still did nothing but there was power (flashing, obviously) to the indicator via the test lamp, tried plugging the bulbs back in and back to the above (no power to indicator or sidelight). It seems to me (but this is by no means my area of expertise!) that there are two very poor contacts in a connector block (potentially) somewhere other than the rear light cluster that can make partial contact for the rear indicator but when a load is put on it it is too much and heats up and brakes contact maybe. I'm hoping someone might be able to save me a ****load of work by being so kind as to tell me where the wiring starts for the rear light cluster (or any other insight gratefully received). Thanks in advance.

Hi, pop your VIN up (automatically masked from public view) when post submitted. I'll need this to get the correct diagram.
However, PSA are notorious for bad wiring and we had a similar issue with the C3 - there is a common earth shared between all the rear lights and ours also had intermittent lighting issues at the rear. As you an see when I checked out the rear left connection on the plug, the Earth pin socket had melted away. So I bypassed the plug completely and connected the earth from the loom directly onto the lamp cluster after drilling a small hole and used some thicker wire:

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
Not currently with it but I will note the VIN when I can.
The issue with mine at present isn't an earth issue. Although I may end up by-passing the earth through the 6 pin plug as you have done. My problem at the moment is that I have no power to the L/H indicator or sidelight wiring (before the 6 pin plug even) when these things are switched on!

Re: Peugeot 307SW - no power to indicator or sidelight L/H rear
Ok, so just to confirm that on your car:
Pin 3 seems to be the Common Earth for the Rear Left Hand Lamp Unit on the body.
Pin 4 is the Common Earth for the Rear Right Hand Lamp Unit on the Body.
2630: rear LH lamp unit on the body
2635: right-hand tail lamp
289 and 290 are the rear cluster indicator wires
Pin 6 (Rear Left) and Pin 3 (Rear Right) is for the rear indicators and these are controlled by the BSI directly, whereas the Side and Front Indicators go to the Engine Fusebox.
From what I can tell, the rear lamp cluster connects to harness 46 HAB - and this goes to the BSI via this harness to a 16 pin Black connector on the BSI (Pins 14 & 13)
Here's the harness for the rear right hand side:
Here's the BSI showing that Connection, so might be worth checking whether you are getting any output from those pins on the BSI first of all
Indicators
I'll try and get something up for the rear sidelights shortly....

Rear Sidelights
The wires 263 (Rear Left) and 264 (Rear Right) connections go into the BSI Pin 12 and 13 respectively on the 40 pin Blue plug named 40V BE below:

Hi
Thanks so much for that! Faultless!
No power to pin 13 BSI (weird). I guess a BSI fault then? Front sidelights work fine so can't see it being a fuse issue.

Re: Peugeot 307SW - no power to indicator or sidelight L/H rear
For the rear tail lights:
Pin 13 (263) is the rear left hand supply
Pin 12 (264) is the rear right hand supply
So with the dipped beam lights switched on manually, is there no power to either the rear tail lights on either of these pins from the BSI?

Re: Peugeot 307SW - no power to indicator or sidelight L/H rear
Pin 12 was good, pin 13 had nothing.
Anyway, I managed to get the fusebox off and send it to a local firm to me, they sent it off to someone else (annoying as I won't.know what is wrong with it) and it's back in and working perfect! Thanks for your fault finding, saved me a fair bit!
Also took the time to add an extra earth as you have shown.
