Lucas Pump Stop Solenoid coded ?

Post by PaulVmax »

Hello,

Is the Lucas Stop Solenoid coded to the immobiliser on a 2005 1.9D Pug Expert.

Long story short, my fuel pump died. So I fitted a new fuel pump timing belt and water pump. Easy enough job.

Wouldn't start pulled the injector pipes off at the pump cranked it and no fuel.

The pump I fitted was second hand but the gent assured me the pump was good.

The solenoid is getting 12v and the earth is a good ground.

So its ether a Faulty solenoid, I have already removed a known good one out of the old pump i bench tested this work fine, or the solenoid needs to be coded.

Thank you.

On a 2005 it will be a coded stop solenoid. I doubt you will be able to recode a used one to your van.
Is this a DW8 engine or XUD?

I believe the coded one has a multiple wire connector, the uncoded one just a screw terminal - its a long time since I've seen one but that's how I remember them.
