Burst suspension pipe at rear
Well as the title states, I've got rupture in my supply pipe running from front to rear.
The fracture appears to be above the fuel tank. I can't get any closer to confirm. So it looks like fuel tank out to check and fix.
Marc, Can you confirm the part no's for the pipe. I have 5270vp and 5270 wp there's also and 2 way joint.

Well started to hunt for the rupture, car on ramps at the moment removed the plastic body covers over fuel tank and offside to reveal both supply and return suspension pipes on Friday. Plastic covers are mostly secured with plastic body trim buttons, but there were 5, 10mm nuts fitted threaded rods from bodywork which were almost rusted away.Snapped off.
Fortunately the 3 bolts holding the fuel tank are loosened 4 is beside the additive tanks which still needs to be accessed and removed. Underneath is surprisingly clear of rust but I will put a coat of underseal along the inside of the sill.
No play today, rain stopped progression.
The supply pipe is o.d. approx 4.8mm steel and the return pipe is approx 5mm plastic. Both pipes run over the top of the fuel tank on the offside to the subframe and I suspect up the bulkhead coming out between o/s sphere and engine and underneath engine mount to pump.
I cannot find what type of end fitting until i remove the pipe.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the fittings are on the HP pipes to be honest.
the size of the seals you need should be on Servicebox. I didn't replace mine when I had to remove my pump to recondition it.
Regarding the ruptured pipe, do you think it could be repaired in the same way as a brake line? The 4.8mm you measured seems very close to 3/16" so maybe a kit for brake line repairs would work?

Reminder: Do not be tempted to use a compression fitting to repair these steel hydraulic lines, despite there being at least one trade advertisement for such a joiner. This sort of repair is neither legal nor safe.

This is the first time I have seen those couplings.
On the Auprotec.com website, the various sizes of coupling are shown, but not the tool that would create the bubble-flare, so I guess you would need one of those too.
Remember that Citroen hydraulics operate at up to 175 bar, far higher than most conventional brake systems.
The couplings that are specifically (MoT) forbidden for vehicle brake/steering/hydraulic systems are those which use a plumbing-type compression olive.

Until I have the fuel tank removed I don't know which pipe it is but I suspect supply pipe rather than the return.
I think it maybe a bubble type flare.
I've looked at service box but can't find anything directly related to the pipe.

I'm only familiar with SAE 45° flares for refrigeration but the flaring tool I have can supposedly do bubble flares too.

Can you elaborate a little bit more on the subject, think I saw you mentioning this at another thread also
P.S.: Aha, ok - seems it is the same thread. Don't know if you are referring to me, citing the "trade advertising" - jfyi, I'm not a trader of any kind, I'm just a mechanical engineer and, when I see, that a given product complies with all system requirements, I presume, that it should be OK for the given application, and that's it.
I can not delve into every notion, that suggest DIY-ing it should be made illegal, nevertheless it is absolutely OK from engineering perspective.
Still I'm quite interested how it could be classified as unsafe, when the producer states the opposite?

The prohibition of compression-olive joints for braking systems is part of the detailed UK MoT regulations.
