C4 Grand Picasso 2007 hdi 1.6 auto non crank

Post by Wildrat »

Hi hope someone can help have issue with starting on wife’s car
Have had issues recently with getting to select gears before starting and only working in manual mode.
Believe this is from bad battery?
But has now failed to start have fitted new Bosh Battery and starter but still no start checked fuses and dash is all good just no start, non crank at all. no click.
Does anyone have any pointers or the starting circuit diagram?
Am engineer but bit difficult without road map?
Thanks John :?

Is it a proper auto or EGS?
Is the gear selector on the dash showing its in N or P?
Have you tried direct feeding the starter to see if it cranks?

Does the engine start when you direct feed the starter?
To get a wiring diagram I need the RP number from the tyre pressure label.

The starter relay is integral to the under bonnet fusebox (PSF1).
Cranking needs to be authorised first though. Does the engine start if you direct feed the starter with the ignition on?
