Spooky. In a strange turn of events, at about 1.00pm today I picked up an OS Berwick-upon-Tweed map that had been stuck in a pile of junk for the last 6 months not 2 yards from me  However...... it's OS sheet number 64 8-[ There is good reason for that though - it's from their one-inch series :-D
Their one-inch series sheet number 75 would appear to cover Dumfries.

So where is it......roughly...? On the A40 1.5 miles East of St Clears and with Newchurch the name of the Box.

From the sales particulars of a property described as Newchurch St Clears

DIRECTIONS: - From Carmarthen take the A40 dual carriageway west for St Clears/Tenby passing the turnings for Llanllwch, Meidrim, Bancyfelin and Llangynog and just before the Shell Petrol Filling Station/Forge Restaurant and St Michael’s Church turn left signposted Llansteffan/Llanybri. Continue for approximately 100 yds and the property is the SECOND PROPERTY on the left hand side.

So in true Jim Bowen "lets see what you would have won" Bullseye fashion this is where box 75 would have been!

You're about 50 yards out, Neil. I hope you're going to lift your game up a bit as you appear to be slacking :rofl2:

This entry gets us to the 2/3 point. You chaps may feel like shooting me for some of the tenuous links I have exploited so you may find this a handy tool for the job:

"The CZ 75 is a semi-automatic pistol made by Czech firearm manufacturer ČZUB. First introduced in 1975, it is one of the original "wonder nines" and features a staggered-column magazine, all-steel construction, and a hammer forged barrel. It is widely distributed throughout the world and is the most common handgun in the Czech Republic."

If, of course, there are no sharp shooters out there to remove me with a pistol then this may be a more effective method:
BFTW
BFTW
"The 75 mm tank gun has its origins in the famous French Canon de 75 modèle 1897 field gun of World War I fame[citation needed], which was also adopted by the United States and used well into World War II as the 75 mm M1897 field gun. The tank and field guns fired the same range of 75x350R ammunition.[citation needed] The primary round was the 6.76 kg (14.9 lb) M48 high explosive round, which travelled at 625 m/s (2,050 ft/s) and contained 1.5 pounds (680 g) of TNT filling (2845 kilojoules of explosive energy) and a choice of two fuzes, the super quick (SQ) and the delay (PD), which had delays of 0.05 and 0.15 seconds respectively. SQ was the standard setting, with PD used against structures, gun positions or lightly protected vehicles. The field gun origins of the ordnance and ammunition ensured that the M2/3/6 series HE round was highly effective for its caliber. The M48 was available in two versions, standard and supercharge, which had an increased propellent charge for greater muzzle velocity (1,885 ft/s (575 m/s) vs. 1,470 ft/s (450 m/s)) and range (2,300 yards greater)."

I have just come across an airplane which I missed in the aircraft posting this morning, so here is the Boing Stearman 75:

Anyone like a bit of creative photography. exploring the hills and mountains, or even doing both.

Well this chap, David Quentin, does both. Views from the tops of mountains can be breathtaking, but for a little bit of interest make sure you have a bit of "fast film" in your camera and toss a stone up in the air against the expansive background, and you get some "different" images produced.

Well here's his effort at the top of the 75th highest Mountain in Great Britain. The 76th highest Mountain in Great Britain is Snowdon in Wales, the top 75 are in Scotland. So this is from Beinn a' Chlachair (1,087 m) in the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. It lies north of Loch Laggan, near the remote hamlet of Kinloch Laggan .

More interesting Stone poses from David Quentin featured here.

Now that picture made me think of River Deep Mountain High but there is no way I can think of for determining the 75th deepest river, however I have found the 75th Longest river which turns out to be the Indigirka River in Eastern Russia as you can see in the table in Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rivers_by_length

This picture is just one of the reaches on its journey to the sea:

If you're going for the world's 75th longest river, then I am going for the world's (current) tallest hotel at 75 storeys high :) The view of the smog from the top floor is breathtaking - apparently
