Here an example. Actually this metallic structure is somehow part of the dash, the steering column is screwed on it and the dashboard itself is screwed from the inside on it.
Yesterday when I bought the heater module the dash was removed without the reinforcement and broken.

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
Thank you very much Marc! If I will succeed with this (and I have to!), then I can do any other simple replacement on Citroen. Fingers crossed please .

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
Hello guys! Happy Easter everyone!
Coming up with some news. After 8 hours of work and a few days previously of reading the documentation from Marc, finally I managed to replace the heater matrix on my wife’s DS3. Hard work and requires a lot of attention, especially during the harness unmount and remount, but also on the steering wheel column, being a safety component.
Today I have also been to the garage and refilled the R134a and seems to work quite well. I will need a few more days to analyze it.
My advice, always read three times before unmount something in your car. But if you feel ready, just do it!
Thank you very much Marc for your advices and the documentation, was really helpful each time I got stuck on a step.
Some pictures attached below.

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
Thank you Marc. Actually I have written and counted every step and each number of screws extracted in that way that mounting was done by checking each step’s checkbox . Anyway, it was a real challenge.

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
Hi guys
I read your experience and enjoy. Well done
I have a question which if anybody answer me, I'd be much appreciated. I have a citroen ds3 2016 (so chic) 1.6 liter 120 hp. Ac evaporator of my car is leaked and I have to change it, but first I have to order it. I don't know what is the type and part no. And also wether all types of ds3 or citroen ds3, have used same type of evaporators or different?

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
Evaporator or the Condenser?
The evaporator is deep inside the dashboard attached to the heater unit.
The condenser is the smaller radiator matrix next to the main radiator.
I ask as it's rare for the evaporator to leak, and more common for a stone to hit and dent the condenser.
We can supply official part numbers, but that requires a membership upgrade, see below: You may be better off speaking to your local dealer - there are a few places in Tehran as far as I can see.
If you can't already find the info you need on the Forum, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future parts requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.
If interested, links are below, then pop your VIN up.

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
Thanks for your reply
Ds3 (1.2 litter) which imported to tehran is completely different with my citroen ds3 (so chic 1.6vti 120hp).
We tracked the linkage and found parts inside the motor all in sound condition and apparently something is wrong in cabin. And for the area I live, evaporator leakages is common problem. For this reason my technical services suppose to dismantle the dashboard to change evaporator.
Now my question is what is the type of the evaporator? Is it same with ds3 1.2 turbo or different?
Thanx

Re: Citroen DS3 A/C Evaporator leak
There are only 2 types of evaporator fitted to the DS3 regardless of engine type and no matter where you are located.
Which type, depends on the Air Conditioning system you have - either Automatic A/C or Single A/C.
