cd changer

Post by maxxo »

Hi all,

Yet another late night thought........

So i would like to install a cd changer (have this weird thing about it being period correct) to my 2005 citroen xsara picasso.

Now i'm aware the wiring loom is unlikely to be in place for this, however i have literally no idea where to start on this.
i'm thinking if i get a standard wiring loom........at least that's what i imagine and the clarion unit from a scrapped picasso this should in theory work, however i have quickly searched online and i have been unable to find a wiring loom that looks to be compatible.

if anyone could be of any help that would be much appreciated.

Before we can give you any advice, we need to know which audio system is currently installed. If you post your VIN, somebody can look it up for you.

I don't know about the Xsara but my C5 has the loom and connectors already in place under the driver's seat.

The 03 Xsara Picasso that's been dumped on me seems to have them under the driver's seat too.

I'm unsure what's desirable about it though.

The CD changers were not fitted as standard equipment on the Xsara Picasso’s - even on the Exclusives, but were available as an accessory, so they all should have the wiring loom there as standard.

They operate on the comfort VAN network, so make sure you get the correct one.

sorry to bump my old thread
so after doing research it seems it should be prewired for it under the drivers seat, now i have taken a quick look tonight and couldn't see anything apart from the airbag connectors

would it be under something or hidden away?
