Only had three Renaults - 4, 11 & 14.
No conflagrations though.

Same market, different times - I would've thought.

Same number as me... Two 4s and one 5...
All seemed very fire-proof even when one of the 4s blew up its voltage regulator and boiled the battery...

Not really. It's a 249bhp coupe aimed at Audi TT and Porsche Cayman drivers. It's got me as power than both of them too, and the Cayman monsters it too! It's expensive too - £51k!
The GTR is an all-singing all-dancing 4WD, 4WS, electronically suspended and controlled 580bhp 2+2 which is just about the fastest practical car you can buy. The fact it's £82k, faster than and half the price of what most people would consider a supercar makes it a winner in my book. If money were no object I'd have one over any Italian or German supercar offering
I'd not have the Alpine thing. I'd rather walk. At least I'd not get burnt.

Re: Nissan & Renault to merge into one company
Different Alpina - to be honest, didn't even realise there was a current one.
German supercar? I thought it was a peculiarly Italian niche BUT then, when it comes to esotoric Arab playboys' toys - I'm lost.

Alpina was my typo - apologies if any confusion caused.

Whoops
BUT, my reason for returning to this thread was, while on-line shopping for Jeep parts, quite by chance I spotted this: "Focusing on the relationship between Renault-Nissan and Mitsubishi"

And there we go...
Vauxhall to build new Vivaro van at Luton - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-43638862
The answer. Which looks to be as I said - next Vauxhall vans will be PSA based, but still built at Luton.

Re: Nissan & Renault to merge into one company
Realistically they HAD to build the new van there, as it was the only one with suitable paintshop facilities.

Nothing could be more absurd than what the Wilson government forced Rootes Group to do, build a new factory in Linwood Scotland to build bodies for the Imp mechanicals in Coventry.
