Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
As a possible clarification, Citroen never listed the repair kit as fitting the Xantia. The same complete valve with the same part number was used on earlier models (e.g. the BX), for which the repair kit was listed by Citroen.

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
All you need is part 6 from ( part number 95 640 067) the picture...
Go with the part number to Citroen dealer and they should order it for you... It costs about 10,66 eur including VAT.

DON'T use a second hand cap... It will start to leak sooner or later... I strongly recommend that you buy a new one... It not expensive.

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
Well (although I could not help), why not ask if somebody on the forum could get a new cap for you, and then get it out to you?

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
Well when I was ordering valve cap for brake cylinder they also tried to persuade me that I need to buy the whole cylinder... And I persuaded them back that I need just the valve cap
From then on I just go with part number to the dealer and order what I need... They don't ask me anymore questions because they are ashamed that I know better than them

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
Okay, is the valve hard to reach. Where exactly is located and how to reach it. From the words of the mechanic in the citroen dealership, its very difficult to reach and it takes up to 2 hours to change it.

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
Your car is (I assume) LHD, so the doseur valve is located more or less under the LHM tank. The rubber cap protrudes into the footwell but the valve must be unbolted from the car and moved into the engine bay to change the rubber cap.

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
Removing the LHM tank, I believe, will give good access. Far better in fact than we 'enjoy' on RHD Xantias...

Re: Citroen Xantia possible LHM leak
So i just need to remove the LHM tank. No other parts to be removed? Are there any cautions that i need to be aware when removing the tank? Any special tools?
