Ok, so when you go back into the ECUs present, has the status (Present / Absent) changed to the new values that you just configured, or have they gone back to the old values?
You might need to try this the way I listed it - from within the BSI, by selecting that and following my list.

Changing some of the parameters, is not the same as deleting the ECU from the list, so try it the way I have shown you, just to see if this makes a difference.

Then after this, try a full BSI reset and leave extra time to allow the ECUs on the networks plenty of time to sleep and wake up.

Ok, I will try again exactly in the same way as you said, but more probably tomorrow, now it’s already dark outside... Regarding the BSI reset, how can I do this? Thank you!

It can help cure some electrical issues and should always be followed when disconnecting and re-connecting the battery.

Follow it exactly - it is important not to open the doors or press anything during the timings or the whole procedure will fail:

Hello colleagues. There is a RT5 navigation on a forum of us at 550 E, if someone is interested. I remember that ECD5 has asked for a RT5 or?

You're welcome. Perhaps you can find more products there, I think they have these from some dismounted cars.

@Marc, sorry, I couldn't record the menu for synchronizing yet, I was very busy at the office...

Hi I wonder if someone can help. I replaced my rneg 3 head unit which died with an rneg 12 unit. Got most things work except... On the new unit there is no central dial. I can't select options on menus. I've tried with the right hand scroll wheel on steering column but that doesn't respond. I have access to lexia.

No such thing as RNEG 3 & 12...
Without properly understanding what original AND replacement Head Units you are referring to I can't help. What is your VIN so I can determine what you had and we can go from there. Coding everything and checking compatibility is essential.

Thanks for the reply. My vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. It might be of help if I could send photos of the units to give you a clearer idea of what I'm on about.

Ok, can you show me the front of the new unit please? I suspect you are trying to replace an RNEG (MyWay) with and RT6 (eMyWay or RNEG2) system. This will help confirm.
