The Noble M12 GTO was the first I heard of to do it back when I was about 16.

Bu##er.....I have a leaking coolant expansion bottle !......it was new stock from Citroen last year :(

And I am not putting glue in it :(

Citroen are exchanging the part under warrantee. That warrantee will only run till the 12 months (from) purchase is up, eg 3 Months :(

Attempting a repair......................groves cut for a gasket material/adhesive.

Holes drilled for rivets, this will not be very pretty :)

How about some plastic weld?
I've used similar stuff (A Marley product) to weld plastic water pipes together quite successfully.

I have used that stuff for years now, the melted/dissolved "edges" become very brittle with this type of high carbon content plastic.
As this is an edge to edge joint and is effected by expansion/pressurised, it will just crack apart because the layer "melted" by the solvent is very thin.

This is proven by these things always failing at the seam. :)

Shame. The pipes I have welded with it were not subject to heat or pressure - not much anyway.

I have some here that my son is hoping will repair his fairing from when he dropped his motorbike.
