..not available at the minute but I bought one of these from Lidl for £2.99........absolutely spot on. Just did the oil filter on my Xsara Picasso 2.0HDi, quite awkward to get two hands round the filter, with all the various pipework in the way but the tool worked perfectly even in the confined space and plenty of leverage to remove stubborn filters even one-handed.

Picked it up from here, so thanks to James et al for the thread.

Well, Lidl are doing a couple of car bits (and motorcycle bits) next Monday, 29/02. This includes an oil drainage pump;

Just had a look at the oil sucker :) it says it takes 2 minutes to drain 0.2 litre of engine oil, runs off the car battery, I reckon my battery would be flat before my sump was empty. :shock:

Doubt it, as it says 1.5l diesel per minute. I would guess that is an estimate, as we know that oil can have varying consistencies depending on viscosity, age and condition.

I can RECOMMEND the wet/dry Vac guys

I use it for loads of stuff from draining water from radiators to cleaning the garage and wet floors/floods.

I concur with wet vac use :) . Use a Hoover Aquamaster and have had 3, one new and a couple s/h for the motors :wink: Very powerful dry suck and superb on wet use. On Plumbers Forum one said he uses it when changing radiator valves by just putting the open hose under the valve and removing - no water on floor. I can believe it having cleared 4" U bends blocked with gravel. Small(ish), light and extremely portable.

The primary reason I got mine was to drain down cast Iron rads....just shut off the valve and lock-shiled, crack the valve to rad joint and catch the flow

I've got a Karcher Press and Ex 800 that must be 30 years old now and still working, although I did have to fit a new water pump to it at some time.

I bought one of the double ended grinders last time they were on, seems like a good tool for the money.

Not sure about the ratchet spanners they are too thick to get in many of the places you need to go.
