I'll tell you what I've got this weekend. Whatever we have that our kid doesn't want I shall steal and bring to you.

Are you up for some DRK-ing? I have a 1397cc Gordini motor and 5 speed box that'll fit :-) rebuilt....

Is this potentially good news on the DRK front Mike?

i had a blinding flash in the night,

its blatently obvious really,

as it had one of the three manifold block bolts already sheared of on coming to me, which i had not spotted in situe,

with the hot spot pipes connected the one on the side of the manifold were the sheared bolt was was pulling on the flange plate, so causing an induction leak and with the hot spot pipes disconnected the plate relaxed so closed the gap,

this will cause all 4 cylinders to be struggling to get the required go go juice, as the manifold block is one open chamber,

i will know later today once a add more go go juice with the hot spots re/attached

sorted well at least got to the bottom of the problem/or maybe there were two or more,
got her going again this afternoon, reconnected the hot spot pipes and no go again, so i disconnected the front to back exhaust pipe from the Y piece ( front end of front to rear pipe ),
and guess what even now with the hot spot pipes connected she starts revs and runs, i did record the wonderful sound on my mob phone, so how do i post that on here

here is Chris Salters blockage

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cc93yzfkv51l ... X_4La?dl=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;,

after cutting sections of the front to rear exhaust pipe the above came out from a section about 3/4's of the way towards the back box end of this pipe

and here is what it sounds like

and underneath is almost immaculate, no tin worm in sight, the floor pans have just had the rubberised coating scrapped, were the scrap yard that the previous owner to Chris rescued her from, used a FFFFFFFFF ORK!!!!! lift to move her about good to see there is no metal damage from this,

even the rear sub frame is very very good ( no tin worm again ), just one lower edge/lip of this has been rolled over, but i think this will have been from the flat bed she was delivered to me on
