Have you tried using the manual height adjustment buttons?

I can't find the topic, but I recall someone having a similar problem, turned out it was one of the rear height connectors (or the wires from it) ... things like this make me happy that I'm on a regular suspension ... :) ... but I do share your concern as a fellow X7 owner

I doubt VERY much we will ever get dog bone issues with ANY C5 models, Mk.1, 2 or X7 ...

The rear height sensor is a Slack moving potentiometer, and will never suffer from sticky issues like the Xantias STUPID.. and I emphasise the STUPID too as it is the only model to have the complex stupid setup!

So, height - will be as above either a wire, or a dud height sensor at the back.

Yea a good one that, short of backing up some home made ramps with planks and bricks to lift the rear up, not sure what else at the moment.... :?

A day late I know and hope you have it sorted by now.

You can sometimes get enought clearance to slither underneath a car by driving one side up onto as high a kerb as you can find, ideally not over a drain grid ....

Have you tried a total battery disconnect...cup of coffee....reconnect? Seem unlikely but might be worth a go.

WRONG

Broken Dog-Bone Shaft....the ball on Potentiometer was seized as was the roll bar one, the pressure had shaped the metal dog-bone shaft off the head (on the Poten'mtr side).

So, I popped off the broken Dog-Bone and its bits, welded the head back on the shaft and re-attached....job done

Thats main dealer service for you !

WOW, is there really a need to shout! So how many hundreds of these have done this then compared to the rear linkage siezing on hundreds of xantia??????

Well done for getting it sorted though..

OK

:)

The Dog-Bone on the X7 is very exposed...it will be getting my "creative" treatment to prevent more problems later.
Also, the alloy connectors on the fluid pipes have a fair amount on corrosion on them as well....very much worth checking and I for one
will be doing my nut in the dealers to get them replaced under the remaining warranty.
