Just phoned my insurer (More Than), they say anything that increases acceleration and or top speed will not be insured.
Apart from that they good insurers.
No tuning/chip box for me

Many years ago there used to be a programme on TV called 'Candid Camera'.
One stunt they did was to remove the engine from a car (cannot remember what) and coast down the hill to a garage for petrol. After filling up, surprise, it would not start. The muckanic's face was a picture [}:)][}:)]
