S2 Xantia V6 - Apologies in Advance

Success.

Wiring all removed and plumbed in correctly. Blower and Seats working as they should.

Now just need to have a look for the horn relay as described a couple of pages back, before I started to add to the problems.

O.k. Got some time the weekend so want to try and get the final bits sorted. Mainly the horn (and if that goes well, the sunroof as well)
Really basic question but where do I start.
Believe the horn relay is one of the ones under the dashboard, but non are clicking and there is also no power to the horns.
1) Can I remove the relays in order, hopefully identify what has stopped working each time. When I am left with a relay removed and everything else works, that's the faulty one
2) Or is there a way to trace the fault back from either the horn push or the horn itself. Have already connected a couple of wires from the horn connections, so could in theory test the circuit from somewhere.
Never done any investigation like this before, so would be glad of any pointers/help.

Once that's sorted is off to the MOT station with my fingers crossed.

Ok as is typical with me, took a little longer than expected BUT the V6 got awarded its MOT today, so its back on the road.

Only advisory was front brake pads a little low, so might even do that as well..

Just got the rear windows, sunroof and replace a front fog light and everything will then be done.

Everything else seems to be working perfectly, even the air con is working nice and cool........ (not sure how to turn the cruise control on though)

Only had the first drive today, and not sure about the auto box, (As in me driving it, not a problem with the box itself.)
Put my foot down and accelerated hard, scared myself with how quickly we took off

Thanks again for everyone's input and hoping that I will be able to sort any other problems out that may occur.

Hi Dave!

CONGRATS! Yes they doo have some go in it! Imagine that, then think about a bit QUICKER again and faster, you then have an idea of a 24v XM V6 S1 manual

The cruise has a master switch on the dash, shows a car with an arrow next to it.. cant remember which side of the steering wheel its on in S2 cars, but press that on thats the main power, then when your at your designated speed pull the lever under the indicator towards you gentley and take your feet away - if its all working then away you will go.

IF she doesn't then first thing to look for is a split Vaccuum pipe on the motor, under passenger side front corner bumper.. hidden away. it very useually splits there...

Actually it works the other way..

Lift the lever up to set (or increase) the speed, push it down to slightly reduce the speed, and pull it towards you to disengage the cruise control.

The other common failing is dirty contacts in the switch on the brake pedal.

DOH! Senior moment there, OF course it does.. I should KNOW Ive got Xantias and XMs with cruise... Thanks Xantia_v6..
