Xantia Mot- success

Unread post by KennyW »

Good Morning all,

I thought I would let you all know the old girl passed her MOT again

I had the welding done by a very good mechanic who restores vintage cars as a hobby. You would hardly notice the weld.

3 Advisorys which were on the list to fix anyway.

The emisson test was good both times 0.31 and 0.39 m-1 so it would suggest that all my pump woes are not as bad.

Kenny,

That's brilliant news :D :D

Where did she need welding?

I'm sure you've told us in the past but old age and all that  You know...

Good work Kenny!

Pics here: Kenny's rust

That's not the usual spot - which is higher up in the door jamb.....where I see my estate is starting to show signs  I wonder if there is a better solution to the wheelarch 'sealing' to help put it off??

My Xantia past its MOT at the beginning of the month and all it needed was rear brake pads. Thanks to Jim for his hard work prior to the MOT. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hi All,

I think the water found its way in via the wheel arch and ran down into the sill.

The usual seal problem 'underneath the arches' is that not a song or famous farmers program
