CITROEN XSARA PICASSO 1.8

ok have a little prob on my CITROEN XSARA PICASSO 1.8i petrol 51 plate

it is the front screen washers every time i pull the stick back to clean windows no water but it comes from back?but you got to twist the stick to make back ones work with water with is working ok,so is there 2 pumps in the water bottle,or can it be down to the stick

If its the same setup as Xantias, it uses a single motor, and its a matter of simple spinning the motor one way for front wash, and the other way for rear wash...

hi mate iam bit lost what do u mean spin motor one way for front and other way for rear?is that the column stick your on about

Sorry,

What I was trying to explain was what type of system it uses.. It could be a single motor.. Id more incline to blame the motor and not the stalk..

I was trying to explain how the motor operates if its a single motor setup..

dont no if the motor has 2 pipes that come of it like because the motor is still working but only back it washers

Could be a fault starting with the comms2000 unit perhaps?

It's a single pump on the picasso & changing it will most likely cure the fault.
A 51 plate probably wont have Com2000 anyway.

My previous C5 had 3 pumps and needed a fourth. All of them had exactly this fault.

It started after the cap on the water tank vanished I believe, so I assume something was getting into the tank and damaging the pumps.

I totaly understand the problem, It's still most likely a faulty pump. It's a fairly common problem.

cheers mate i will have look over the week end is it an easy job like,do i need to take wheel off then the black cover?

Jack it up, turn the wheel full lock & just undo the wheelarch liner & pull back at the front. You dont need to fully remove it.
