Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Clio Remote Central Locking

by Mr Fusion » 05 Jan 2004, 02:39

First post

Hi there
I have a Clio 1.4 RT (circa 1992). I have exactly the same problem.
I think because of the positioning of the infra-red receiver in the roof of the car, you have to be very close for the remote locking to work (so it is visible to the key).
If it was radio controlled, this wouldn't be an issue.
Hope this helps.
Ben

Clio Wiper Problem

A bit odd for both to go at the same time, but sounds like the rear wiper connections may have come undone (the connection plug is a problem on some renaults) and at the front, well, if they are slow, then it may be the motors on its way out. Clio idling problem fixed

by Richard Gallagher » 26 Jul 2003, 03:32

My wifes 1993 1.4 RT Clio had a recurring problem of the idle speed being too high and refusing to slow down due to the fuel injection system. After extensive testing and eventually getting to the point of 'having to live with it' I bumped into a rather knowledgeable chap who calmly said Oh you need to get a 'case interface', it was a modification...

'96 Laguna Radio problem

by rodisi » 20 Jul 2003, 00:37

I cannot balance the front speakers to the rear. The front ones have almost no volume. I replaced them with new ones, from the dealer but no change. I'm wondering if this is normal.

Hello All
Has anyone fitted a roof box on the standard Espace (1994) cross bars. Just wondering if the curvature of the bars causes a problem.
Thanks

Laguna cold starting problem

by Chell » 16 Jul 2003, 22:37

First post

Hi, This could be due to a number of things. i.e HT leads, faulty spark plugs, or worse case senario head gasket. It might be worth checking if there is excessive pressure in the coolant expansion tank.
Hope this helps!

Megane Scenic July 1998 1.9DTi Starting problems

Classic symptom of a slow air leak and typical of a Bosch equiped engine, so does it have a Bosch pump, and if it does, try operating the manual priming pump for about 30 secs when you next have trouble, if it starts ok after doing that then it confirms air ingress as the problem.
If it does the first place to look is at the leakoff pipes between...

My scenic starts first time EVERY time so long as in REGULAR use. If left lying idle for three days or more starting is extremely difficult. Engine turns over just fine. It is as if there is no fuel to ignite. Will start EVENTUALLY. Once started then no problem until left idle for several days again.
Glow plugs changed - no improvement. Battery...

1992 Clio 1.2 RN speedo problem

by bad driver » 27 Jun 2003, 02:05

First post

I had the same prob on my 96 clio rn, problem is with the cable, if it has been replaced at some point it may not have been attached properly, if it is attached correctly it could be frayed inside causing it to stick (new cable will solve) or it might be excessivley dry so just spray wd40 down the end of it from behind the clock. If it needs...

The speedo on my 92 Clio RN 1.2 is severely underreading - it reads around 40mph at 60mph! The needle also wiggles around a lot at lower speeds. Is this likely to be simple (and cheap!) to fix, or is it going to be bad?
Thanks,
Ian

Greetings
I have just returned from a 500mile weekend journey in my 82,000mile Laguna. It has been regularly serviced and recently had its major 80,000 mile service. This morning on starting, a whining noise is given off by the engine, increasing in volume with increasing revs. Even worse, on moving the steering wheel, even when static, there is a...
