Radio removal on an AX

Radio removal on an AX

Anyone know how I remove a modernish radio/casette unit from the dash of my 1992 vintage AX Echo. Do I need any special tools or does it just pull out?

Think it may be held in by just the usual way. Or if any thing only a couple of screws. I'm lead to belive thoe that on some of the newer (now older) AX's you have to remove the ends of the unit to reveal the fixings.

You need to slide a thin flat screwdriver or similar, roughly in the middle of each side and press both sides in.

this job is a major pain in the backside be careful not to scratch the plastic suround maybe put some tape over the dash part to stop it being scratched
