C5x7 roof tents.
Hi. I’ve been looking at a roof tent for my c5 tourer 2.0 2011. It has the panoramic glass roof. I see varying discussions regarding using one with the glass. Some say you can some say you can’t. Does anyone have any experience/advice. I don’t have my handbook with me at the moment as car is in dock for failed front shock so I cannot look up the static and dynamic loads for the fitted bars. Can anyone help. Thanks.

You can see the handbook through this topic viewtopic.php?t=63208
On page 205 on roof bars for a 2011 car it gives
Maximum load that can be distributed on the roof bars (for a loading height not exceeding 40 cm; except bicycle carrier): 80 kg.
If the height exceeds 40 cm, adapt your speed to the profile of the road to avoid damaging the roof bars
and the fixings on the roof.
Please refer to national legislation in order to comply with the regulations concerning the transportation
of objects which are longer than the vehicle
