DS3 high pressure petrol fuel pump

Unread post by At my whits end »

Hello everyone .. I’ve got a h/p fuel pump issue , I have replaced it and the low pressure one in the tank but it doesn’t seem to want to draw fuel . I have tried the reset method and still no joy . Also tried to purge / prime the h/p pump by loosening the nut of the fuel rail but still nothing any ideas please

You need to isolate which pump is failing as its highly unlikely both have failed. If you disconnect the feed to the HP pump, put it into a bottle and turn on the ignition do you get fuel delivered from the pipe which you placed in a bottle? :)

Logic says that if the tank pump is running but not sending fuel down the line then it possibly has a blockage in its intake? :)
