DS3, fuel rail pressure sensor, color of the sensor cable

Unread post by megumi »

DS3, made in 2010, 1.6 turbo, 156ps.

Hello everyone. This is my first post. Thank you in advance.

The check engine light came on, so I looked at it with an OBD checker and suspected the fuel rail pressure sensor. The twisting pressure value sometimes shows a normal value (6MPa) and sometimes shows a strange value (0.7MPa).
Since the sensor installation location is very difficult to access, I will try to diagnose it from outside.
What I would like to know is the color of the sensor cable. My target is one of the dozens of wires stuck in the ECU, so I'd like to narrow it down by color if possible.

I wouldnt rely on the colours, There is usually a code printed on the cable in the smallest writing possible.
Thanx to all the admins & knowledgeable people that make this the best forum on the interweb. BUT COME BACK MARC , We miss you! =D> =D> =D>

Thanks to both of you for your advice.

Now that you mention it, I think I saw something printed on the wire.

The error code is P0087. However, the car is still limp. I'd like to find out what's going on as easily as possible without having to remove the sensor.

This topic is worth reading. In this case P0087 was fixed by removing leaf debris from the fuel tank, replacing the filter and replacing 2 injectors. viewtopic.php?t=74876
