I've just bought a 2008 Citroen Relay camper van. My first camper van and the first French vehicle I've owned.
It's done 130k miles and I want to do some preventative maintenance before putting any more long term mileage on it.
Unfortunately it has no documentation, not even a user manual; is there anywhere I can pick a user manual up from?
First thing I intend doing immediately is to get the oil pump, tensioner and chain replaced. Lymm Engine Components sell these, with the
pump being uprated. I just need to identify the kit I need. The VIN number on the V5 doesnt appear to relate to any of the engine codes
on their web site, how can I i.d. my engine code?
At the same time I'm going to get the coolant system flushed and replace the header tank, as it looks a mess inside. I've seen some on ebay,
are there any recommended parts suppliers?
Finally for now I'd also appreciate the recommended engine oil (viscosity and spec) and coolant type.

What engine does it have petrol diesel, size, power output ?
The engine code is usually in the vin, if you just post the letters we should be able to see it.

Coolant type just buy it from a Citroen dealer.
It probably has a timing belt and maybe a chain between camshafts but it depends on the engine.
If you go to a Citroen service desk they can probably print the service schedule using your vin but if you have the Warranty/Maintenance service stamp book the schedule is in there on vehicles of that age.

Just this minute pulled out of the sale. I put a deposit down and took a photo of the V5.
Just gone to get an insurance quote to notice the V5 says the vehicle was salvage.
I paid for an online report to find the van was written off in 2016 as a Cat C.
The seller wasnt even aware of this, I guess they never read the front of the V5.
Weirdly a private seller doesnt have to declare a vehicles category, only a dealer.
I live and learn, back to the search.
