Earth point locations

Unread post by RoosterBooster »

I'm trying to locate the earth points on my 2013 207SW 1.6 diesel (VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]) ... I'm investigating what seems to be the rather too frequent blowing of rear light bulbs and want to try to rule out poor earth connections.

I'm aware of the excellent crib sheets for interpreting electrical diagrams (viewtopic.php?p=782862#p782862) but was wondering ... are the diagrams are stored anywhere on the site?

I've seen one post with the type of diagram I've got in mind

There are no diagrams stored on the Forum but I may be able to find one for you from my Sedre Backup. What is the RPO number of your car, usually on the tyre pressure sticker? 5 digits usually beginning with 1 ? :)

The only one I can find at the moment does not show the rear of the car which is a bit odd but here it is anyway:

Is the RPO 10030 (see below)? How does the RPO help?

Yes it is, for some reason the sedre system needs the RPO entering before it will progress through the index system. I actually used a random one to get the diagram I posted earlier. I will try again with your number in the morning. It might help as well if you can tell me which diesel engine you have. Unfortunately I do not have access to the live system so I cannot use the VIN to find out. So if you confirm your actual engine and gearbox it will help me narrow it down. :)

OK thanks I'll see if I can get anything more useful in the morning, watching the darts at the moment so can't use PC which has the system on it as that PC uses my TV as a monitor!! :)

Well I was only able to find the same earth point diagram but I did find this wiring diagram for the lights which may be of some help:

It certainly is. I guess I'm on the hunt for MC60 and MC70. Thanks
